Obituary of Dorothy L. Busshie

Dorothy L. Busshie (née Costello), peacefully passed away at her home on Sunday, June 7, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Dorothy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose greatest joy in life was her family. She was known for her kindness, strength, and unwavering dedication to those she loved. Prior to her retirement, Dorothy worked for many years as a cashier at ShopRite of Rochelle Park, where she enjoyed seeing familiar faces. Beloved wife of Ralph P. Busshie for 68 years. Devoted mother of Debra Kasperowicz, Kimberly Solomon, Sherry Eyer and her husband Charles, Sheryl O'Neil and her husband Les, and Tammy Gordon. Cherished grandmother of Ashley, Brianna, Cameron, Corey, Alissa, Brandon, and Ryan, and proud great-grandmother of Charlotte, Henry, and Josephine. Known affectionately as "Nanny," Dorothy treasured every moment spent with her family, especially her great-grandchildren. Dorothy's warmth, gentle spirit, and love for her family will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew her. Visitation will be held at the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack, NJ, on Thursday, June 11, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with a prayer service beginning at 6:00 PM. Cremation will be private.
