Obituary of John M. Garafano

JOHN M. GARAFANO of New York City , NY , and Pennsylvania formerly of Hackensack . Died on Monday August 11, 2008 at the age of 59. Prior to retiring he worked as an airline attendant for American Airlines for over 31 years. He was a member of the Association of Professional Flight Attendants of New York and was also a member of the American Association of State Climatologists. Devoted son of the late Salvatore Garafano and Louise (nee Sundermann) of Hackensack . Cherished partner of Ronald A. Steiman. Dearest brother of Salvatore Garafano of Hackensack and Thomas Garafano and his wife Debra of Hackensack. John is also survived by two nephews T.J. and Nicholas and one niece Kelli. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, August 14, between 2 – 4 PM at the funeral home. Memorial donations to the North Shore Animal League, 25 Davis Avenue , Port Washington , NY 11050 would be appreciated.
