Obituary of Gaetano Lanuto

GAETANO LANUTO, of Little Ferry, died on Monday March 9, 2009 at his home, at the age of 76 years. Born in Mirto , Italy , he came to this country in 1959. Gaetano worked as a draftsman for IT & T Corporation in Paramus from 1965 to 1976 where he designed defense systems for the United States Government, before becoming a Real Estate Broker where he served his local community for over 25 years. He was also very active in numerous Italian American organizations, especially PANORAMA ITALO – USA , of which he was a founding member. He was a parishioner of St. Francis R.C. Church in Hackensack . Beloved husband for 50 years to Maria (nee Martino). Loving father of Alfio S. Lanuto and his wife Nella of Ramsey and Sal Lanuto and his wife Marie of Woodbridge. Cherished grandfather of Gabriella Maria, Alessandro Gaetano, Adriana Caterina, Davide A.C. and Marco Domenica. Dearest brother of Giuseppe Lanuto, Maria Lanuto Castano both of Mirto , Italy and Elena Lo Sardo of Little Ferry. Gaetano is also survived by several nieces and nephews. The Funeral on Friday, March 13, at 10:00 AM from the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street , Hackensack . The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 13th, at St. Francis R.C. Church, 50 Lodi Street , Hackensack , at 11:00 AM with entombment following at Fairview Cemetery , Fairview .Visiting will be on Thursday from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 PM.
