Obituary of Antonia Marini

ANTONIA TURRIZIANI MARINI, of Hackensack, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 10, 2014, at the age of 90 years. She was born in Frosinone, Italy and came to this country in 1956 settling in Hackensack. Prior to retiring she worked as a sewing machine operator for S. Goldberg and Son in Hackensack. She was a parishioner of St. Francis R.C. Church of Hackensack where she was a member and co-founder of the Padre Pio Prayer Group and an usher for the Italian Masses. She also was a member of the Golden Age Club. Beloved wife of the late Benedetto Marini. (1986). Devoted mother of Robert Marini and his wife Gaetana of Dumont, Elida Marino and her husband the late Michael of Hackensack, Massimo Marini of Hackensack and Silvio Marini and his wife Lori of South Hackensack. Cherished grandmother of Danielle, Robert, Stephanie, Carmelo, Benny, Max, Michael and Christine. Adored great grandmother of Mia, Adien, Brielle, Declan, Ella and Hope. She was predeceased by six brothers and sisters. The Funeral on Tuesday October 14th, at 8:45 AM from the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM at St. Francis R.C. Church, 50 Lodi Street, Hackensack with entombment following at Calvary Cemetery in Paterson. The family will receive friends on Monday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 PM. The family prefers that in lieu of flowers you honor her memory with a memorial donation to either St. Francis R.C.
