Obituary of Nicholas J. Montana

NICHOLAS J. MONTANA, of Mahwah, formerly of Hackensack and Teaneck passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 29, 2014, at the age of 95 years. Prior to retiring he worked for Potdevin Machine Company in Teterboro for 42 years as a Developmental Machinist, his profession took him all over the world. He was an Army veteran of World War II, a member of the Bogota Knights of Columbus, Past President of the Teaneck Unico Chapter, a member of Unico National, an active member of the Hackensack Chapter of Unico District # 7, a parishioner of Saint Francis R.C. Church and a member of their Holy Name Society in Hackensack. Beloved husband of 51 years to Angelina M. (nee Mellone) and the late Mary M. (nee Conte) 1963. Loving father of Rosemary Rettew and her husband Denis, Fred Montana and his wife Karen, Nick A. Montana and his wife Karen, Patricia Berger and her husband Tim and Christopher Montana and his wife Maria. Cherished grandfather of ten grandchildren and great grandfather of five. Nick is also survived by his sister Grace Catania and he is pre-deceased by eleven brothers. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held on Saturday November 1, 2014 at 8:45 AM from the funeral home. The Mass of Christian Burial at St. Francis R.C. Church, 50 Lodi Street, Hackensack. at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Hackensack. The family will receive friends on Friday from 2 – 4 & 7 - 9 PM.
