Obituary of Joseph E. Pidone

JOSEPH E. PIDONE, a lifelong resident of Hackensack, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 6, 2014, at the age of 89 years. Prior to retiring he was a salesman for Tam Metal Products of Mahwah. He was a former member of the Board of Managers for Bergen Regional Medical Center in Paramus, a former member of the Hackensack Rent Board and the Hackensack Zoning Board. He was a Navy Veteran of World War II. Beloved husband for 45 years of Rhoda P. (nee Honig). Devoted father of Holly Pidone of San Diego, CA, Thomas Hook and his wife Elizabeth of Hampton Bays, NY, and Donna Fitzgerald and her husband John of Troy, NY. Loving grandfather of Thomas, Megan and Elizabeth. Cherished great grandfather of Matilda. Dearest brother of the late Grace Schmidt, Mae DeVincentis, Tess Kahwajy, and Gloria Corso. He is also survived by his loving nieces, nephews and many friends. The funeral service at the funeral home, on Friday, October 10th, at 11:30 AM with burial following at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6 - 9 PM. The family prefers that you honor his memory with a memorial donation to the NJ American Parkinson Disease Assoc., P.O.
