Obituary of Carlita Columna

Carlita Columma (nee Abreau), of Hackensack, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 31, 2015, at the age of 91 years. Born in Bonao, Dominican Republic, she came to this country in 1975 settling in Queens, New York and came to Hackensack in 2013. She was a retired seamstress. She was a parishioner of Holy Trinity R. C. Church in Hackensack and a member of the Franciscan Association in the Dominican Republic. Beloved wife of the late Pedro Columma who died in 1992. Devoted mother of Peter Columma and his wife Olympia of Rosendale, New York. Cherished grandmother of Maria and Irene. Dearest sister of the late Bernadina Abreau, Lucia Abreau, and Jose Antonio Abreau. Loving Aunt of many nieces and nephews. Visiting will be on Thursday from 4:00 pm – 7:00 PM concluding with a prayer service. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Bonao, Dominican Republic with burial following at Cemeterio Principal.
