Obituary of David A. Salata

David A. Salata, of Hackensack, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 4, 2015, at the age of 62 years. Prior to retiring, he was the Plant Operator for the Passaic Valley Water Commission of Newark. He was a parishioner of the Church of the Immaculate Conception and a member of the Five Points Bow and Gun Club. Beloved son of the late Alexander and Lucy Bassano Salata. Devoted brother of the late Paul Salata and his wife Kathy of Hackensack, and the late Donna Salata. Loving uncle of Christine Salata, Stacey Kallopoulas and her husband Taso, and Kellie Salata. Adored uncle of Klimentos and he is also survived by many loving cousins. The funeral on Tuesday, June 9th at 10:45 AM from the funeral home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 Noon at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 49 Vreeland Avenue, Hackensack with burial following at St. Joseph's Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM.
