Obituary of Mary R Rogers

Mary R. Rogers (nee Walsh), of Petersburg, VA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 3, 2015, at the age of 97 years. Born in New York City she lived in Hackensack for many years prior to going to Petersburg. She retired in 1988 as the bank manager for Bergen County National Bank of Hackensack, where she worked for 31 years. She was a parishioner at Holy Trinity R. C. Church where she was a member of the Rosary Society and the Trinity Leisure Club. Beloved wife of the late Felix R. Rogers who died in 1989. Devoted mother of Frank J. Rogers and his wife Mary of Petersburg, VA and the late Ann Marie Rogers who died in 1994. Cherished grandmother of five grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Dearest sister of the late Alice Dubois, Eleanor Walsh, Peggy McAllen, Dorothy Walsh, Catherine Ashton, Joan Walsh, and the late John Walsh. Adored aunt of many nieces and nephews. The funeral on Wednesday, June 10th, at 9:45 AM, from the funeral home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM at Holy Trinity R. C. Church with burial following at St. Joseph's Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM.The family prefers that you honor her memory with a memorial donation to Holy Trinity R.
