Obituary of Fay Corso

FAY GIANNONE CORSO passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 9, 2016, with her family beside her. She was "93 ½." Born on October 11, 1922 in Brooklyn, NY, Fay was in the first graduating class of Wood-Ridge High School. She was a member of Holy Trinity Church and the Women's Club in Hackensack. She was a long-time member of White Beeches Golf and Country Club in Haworth, NJ and Pompano Beach Golf Course in Pompano Beach, FL. She was an avid enthusiast of golf and loved playing cards and Rummikub. She was never sick, still drove her car, walked everyday, and played golf. She was a classy, strong-willed, beautiful, and independent woman. What a wonderful life she lived! Fay is predeceased by her parents, Charles and Jennie Giannone and her sister Marie Parlato and brother-in-law Herbert. Beloved and devoted mother of Denise Corso. Dearest sister of Dolores "Babe" Rubano and brother-in-law Joseph "Joey". Loving aunt to her godson Herbert Parlato "Butch" and special nieces and nephews. A memorial mass will be offered on Saturday, July 23, at 10:00AM, at Holy Trinity R.C. Church, 34 Maple Avenue, Hackensack. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at the fuenral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
