Obituary of James D. O'Dwyer

JAMES D. O'DWYER of Teterboro, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at the age of 72 years. James was a Vietnam Veteran, proudly serving in the United States Army and receiving 4 Bronze Service Stars. He was a Councilman for the borough of Teterboro, NJ and a parishioner of Holy Trinity R.C. Church in Hackensack. Loving father of Michael D. O'Dwyer of Queens, NY and Keith J. O'Dwyer of NJ. Cherished grandfather of Sydney O'Dwyer. Dearest brother of Michael, Con, Mary, Patricia and the late John O'Dwyer and Peggy Sommers. James is also survived by his former wife Teresa, many brothers and sister-in-laws and numerous nieces and nephews. The funeral will begin on Monday, February 13th, at 7:45 AM from the funeral home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Trinity R.C. Church, 34 Maple Ave., Hackensack, at 9:00 AM. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3:00 – 7:00 PM for visitation.
