Obituary of Irvin K. Gooch

IRVIN K. GOOCH, 76, went home with the Lord peacefully on Saturday, February 18, 2017. Born in Durham, NC on December 14, 1940. Irv resided in Bergen County for 40+ years, he operated his sole business as President of Antique Cars & Toys For Films., Inc., supplying the movie industry with a wide variety of vintage cars, toys, and props. He was a member of SAG (Screen Actor's Guild). Predeceased by his biological children, Anthony and Michelle, Irv enjoyed a happy life with his partner Judith Baehren, her sister Anita Getler, Judi's daughter Beth husband Donato, and granddaughter Keturah. Irv, one of 8 children, predeceased by sister Helen Webster of Hackensack, survived by sisters Danielette Davis of Georgia, Margie Meigs of Chase City, VA., and Maggie Peaks of Irvington, NJ brothers Mervin Gooch of Baltimore, MD, Ronald and John Gooch of Skipwith, VA., and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial gathering remembering IRV will take place on Saturday, March 4th at 3PM at the First Presbyterian Church, 64 Passaic St., Hackensack, NJ with a repast to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Melanoma Research Alliance would be appreciated.
