I just recently found out about Vinny's death and I was deeply saddened. I grew up on the same block as him, Bedford Ave. He was a great person long ago, as well. I knew he would be a terrific family man!
I remember a few of the guys singing to Frankie Valli and trying to hit those high notes. The teenage girls would just stand by and listen. ( I was four years younger but very mature, so they didn't shove me away.)
He always worked and I remember one Christmas he sold Christmas trees out in that cold weather. He was a hustler all right!
I had such a crush on him because he was so nice, (and cute). I didn't stand a chance because one day he said, "Hey Kathy how old are you?" I said 13 and that was the end of my love story!
My prayers go out to all of you and know that he touched many souls.

Dear Vince, A bigger than life friend who would light up a room (or a casino floor) with that personality! After a few minutes you knew he built banks for 42 years, he loved his wife, children, grand kids, brothers, and was proud to have served his Country in Vietnam. Whenever anyone need help, Vince would show up hammer or paintbrush in hand. As the years went on, getting up was more difficult and an afternoon nap was part of the daily routine.
May the Good Lord grant you the peace and rest you so deserve. So my dear friend, until we meet again, you will be deeply missed! With love,
Tom & Ginger
