VINCENZA D'ARMETTA CANDELA, of Parrish, Florida, formerly of Hackensack, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 28, 2017, at the age of 86 years. Born in Sicily, Italy, she came to this country in 1973 settling in Hackensack and lived in Parrish, Florida for seven years. She was a parishioner of St. Francis R. C. Church of Hackensack. Beloved wife of the late Giuseppe Candela who died in 2008. Devoted mother of Nicolo Candela and his wife Gina, Joe Candela and his wife Maddalena, Anna Petersen and her husband Lawrence, Rosario Candela and his wife Michelina, Salvatore Candela, Mario Candela and his wife Angela and Anthony Candela and his wife Natalie. Cherished grandmother of Joseph Thomas, Vanessa, Lana, Nicholas, Giuseppe, Steve, Robert, Joseph Nicholas, Joseph Morris, Jonathan, Joseph, Vincenza, Anthony Mario, Joseph Anthony, Vincent, and Samantha Marie. Adored great grandmother of Alyssa, Briella, Violet, Maddalena, Scott, Mathew, Noah, and Gianna. Dearest sister of Salvatrice Spatola and her husband Giuseppe, Angela Mannino and her husband the late Giuseppe, Salvatore D'Armetta and his wife Francesca, Vito D'Armetta and his wife Lillian, Sarina Di Maggio and her husband Giovanni, and Carolina Barion and her husband Sergio. The funeral on Monday, October 2nd, at 9:45 AM from the funeral home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM at St. Francis R. C. Church, 50 Lodi Street, Hackensack with entombment following at Garden of Memories in Washington Township. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM.
