Obituary of John P. Rollason
JOHN P. ROLLASON, of Teaneck, NJ, passed away on Monday, October 23, 2017 at the age of 87 years. Born in Birmingham, England he came to the United States in 1956, settling in Hackensack before moving to Teaneck. Prior to retiring he worked as a Bricklayer for the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craft workers, NJ for 50 years, he was also a recipient of the Union Gold Card. John also served in the England Army during WW-II, serving in the 2nd Battalion Parachute Regime and the 184 Regimen Battalion for 5-1/2 years (where he saw combat at the Suez Canal.) He was a parishioner of Holy Trinity R.C. Church, Hackensack and a member of their Usher Society for 48 years. Beloved husband to the late Pauline (nee Joyce) who passed away in 2008. Cherished father of Paula, John and Kerry. John is also survived by two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and his siblings in England RoseCecila, Mary, Anthony Ann (Pinny) and Paul. He will be missed by his friends and neighbors here in NJ. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Trinity R.C. Church, 34 Maple Ave. Hackensack, at 10:00 AM on Thursday, October 26. Cremation will follow at Cedar Lawn Crematory, Paterson. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home Thursday morning from 8:45 – 9:45 AM for visitation.
