Obituary of Giorgio Pansolini

GIORGIO PANSOLINI, of Hackensack, NJ, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 11, 2018, at 86 years young. Born in Italy, Giorgio and his cherished wife, Lydie Charpentier, fulfilled the American dream for his family after emigrating from Santa Maria degli Angeli, Assisi, Italy in 1964. Prior to retiring, he worked for the Hackensack public school system. Previously, he worked at Buitoni Pasta Company. Beloved husband for 59 years of Lydie Charpentier, devoted father of Marco Pansolini of Hackensack and Fabio Pansolini and his wife Rosanna Cacciato of River Vale. Cherished grandfather of Cristina, Michael, and Stephen Pansolini. He is pre-deceased by his siblings Bruna Barabani, Alviero Pansolini, Bianca Lucacci, Fiorella Angelucci & Vittorio Pansolini. He leaves behind many nieces & nephews in Assisi and Terni, Italy. Giorgio was a devoted family man. A passionate gardener, he was most often found in his garden, reflecting his quest for tranquility. His greatest joy was partnering with Lydie in sharing their love of Italian cooking with his grandchildren. He held both a sharp wit and sense of humor. He remains in our hearts as a gentlemen who lived a balanced life, earning great respect from all those who knew him. The funeral on Monday, March 19th at 8:45 AM from the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home. The mass will be celebrated at 10AM at Holy Trinity Church, 34 Maple Ave, Hackensack, with entombment following at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 18th from 2PM to 7PM at the funeral home.
