Obituary of Eleanor N. Squillace

ELEANOR N. SQUILLACE, of Boca Raton, Florida, formerly of Hackensack, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 19, 2014, at the age of 93 years. Prior to retiring she was the owner of Physicians and Surgeons Exchange of Hackensack for more than 35 years. She was a member of the Ridgewood Country Club, the Hackensack Women's Club, Zonta of Hackensack, Hackensack University Medical Center Ladies Auxiliary and the Royal Palm Yacht and Golf Club of Boca Raton. She was a parishioner of Holy Trinity R. C. Church. Beloved wife of the late Joseph J. Squillace, former City Manager of Hackensack who died in 1989. Devoted mother of John R. Squillace and his wife Mary Lenahan of Hackensack and Ronald J. Squillace and his wife Laura of Franklin Lakes. Loving grandmother of Joseph J.Squillace II, Kristin Kelleher, Sonya R. DeLucca, Susan P. Persampieri, Eric Grogin and Blake Grogin. Cherished great grandmother of six great grandchildren. She is also survived by cousin Jaye Mutinsky and her sisters-in-law Connie Nordstrom and Rose Stavola. Eleanor is also predeceased by her brother Robert Nordstrom and Sandra M. Squillace. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM at Holy Trinity R. C. Church, 34 Maple Avenue, Hackensack with entombment following at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5:00 – 9:00 PM.
