Obituary of Nerida Chacon

CHACON, NERIDA. (Nee Pernas), of Hackensack, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2020 at the age of 84 years. She migrated to this country in 1962 from Havana, Cuba and settled in Hackensack. Prior to retiring she had worked as a Yarn Dryer for Spinnerin Yarn Company in South Hackensack for 45 years. Beloved wife of the late Orlando Chacon (2017). Devoted mother of Orlando Chacon Jr. and his wife Miriam of Hackensack and the late Robert Chacon. Cherished grandmother of Jason Chacon and his wife Colleen, Jordan Chacon and his wife Erica, and Ciara Chacon, Great Grandmother of Olivia, Logan, and Kai Chacon. Nerida is survived by 4 sisters and also leaves behind her many loving nieces and nephews. Cremation will be private. Arrangements conducted by G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Service, 397 Union Street, Hackensack, NJ. In lieu of flower the family asks that donations can be made to Hackensack Volunteer Ambulance for COVID-19 supplies.
