Obituary of Eleanor Sgro

Eleanor Sgro (nee Basile), of Ringwood formerly of Hackensack , passed away peacefully, on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at the age of 88 years. She was a parishioner at St. Catherine's R.C. Church , Ringwood and a former parishioner at St. Francis R.C. Church, Hackensack . Beloved wife of the late Joseph Sgro who passed away in 2013. Loving mother of Patricia Gatcke and her husband Robert of Palm Beach Gardens, FL and John Sgro and his wife Susan of Pompton Lakes, NJ. Cherished grandmother of Kimberly, Juan and Alex. Adored great grandmother of Bryanna, Madelynn and Justin. Dearest sister of Louis Basile of Palm Beach Gardens , FL , and the late Marie D'Elia, Annabel Sylvester, Josephine Basile, Rita Basile, Alfred Basile and Ralph Basile. Prayer service at the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street , Hackensack , on Friday, January 15th, at 1:15 PM. Entombment will be private. The family will receive friends on Friday from 10:30 AM – 1:15 PM.
