Obituary of Jean Zisa

Jean Zisa (nee Savoglou), of Old Tappan, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 15, 2021, at the age of 68 years. Born in Limnos, Greece, she came to this country in 1966 settling in Hackensack and had lived in Old Tappan for 20 years. She had worked for more than 30 years as a teacher's aid at the Hackensack Middle School. She was a member of the Archdiocesan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity of New York City. Beloved wife of Peter Zisa for 50 years. Devoted mother of Frank B. Zisa of Edgewater and Jennifer T. Zisa of Hackensack. Dearest sister of Maria Papadatos and her husband James of Old Tappan, Chris Savoglou and his wife Michele of Upper Saddle River, and Patty DeMaio and her husband Bart of Old Tappan. Cherished aunt of many nieces, nephews, and also survived by many loving relatives and friends. The funeral on Wednesday, May 19th, at 9:45 AM from the funeral home. The funeral service at 11:00 AM at The Metropolitan Cathedral of St. John the Theologian, 35 East Clinton Avenue, Tenafly with entombment following at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4 – 8 PM.
