Obituary of Paul T. DiLeo

Paul Thomas DiLeo, of Paramus, formerly of Elmwood Park, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at the age of 78. Paul is survived by his beautiful wife, Rosemary and his six children, Sherry Palacios and husband Ian, Thomas, Lisa Vigilanti and husband Joseph, Walter Fabisiak and wife Miriam, Kevin, and Paul. He was a proud and loving PopPop to his three grandchildren, Christian, Julia, and Giana. Dear brother of Kenneth DiLeo, Michael DiLeo and wife Maria and niece Stephanie and nephews, Julian and Kenneth Jr. Fourteen years ago, Paul suffered from a massive stroke but despite his pain, he fought and stayed strong to the very end never forgetting to greet his loved ones with a soft pinch on the nose. Paul was born in Paterson, NJ and started a life with his beloved wife Rosemary in Elmwood Park, NJ. When he was not driving a truck, Paul was an avid music lover and musician who covered many songs by Elvis Presley, his favorite musician. Paul's soothing "Elvis" voice made you think Elvis was in the room while he sang songs like "Memories" and "The Wonder of You". The Funeral will begin on Monday August 23, at 9:15 AM at the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street , Hackensack, NJ. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM at St. Anne's R.C. Church, 15-05 St. Anne Street, Fairlawn. Cremation will be private. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4:00 – 8:00 PM for visitation at the funeral home.
