Obituary of Louis D'Arminio
Louis D'Arminio Jr. "Lee", of Hackensack, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 17th, 2021 at the age of 97. Prior to retiring, he owned with his brothers, D'Arminio & Son's Construction Company in Hackensack for many years. Lee was a proud veteran of WW II serving in the United States Army, where he was awarded the Purple Heart, Bronze Star and a Silver Star. He was a member of the VFW Post #8005 of South Hackensack, the American Legion Post #55 of Hackensack, and the last original member of the Hackensack Troast Athletic Club. Lee was a parishioner of St. Francis R.C. Church in Hackensack, where he was a part of the Holy Name Society, a member of the St. Francis Socialites, and served as an usher. A lover of baseball and an avid Yankee fan, Lee was one of the founders of Baseball of Hackensack. He served his City for many years on the Youth Guidance Council. Beloved husband of the late Jenny (nee Ingoglia) 2010. Devoted father of Theresa Crusius and her husband Kenneth of Hackensack, Louis Lee D'Arminio and his wife Gloria of Ramsey, Thomas D'Arminio and his wife Wendy of New City, NY, and Maria Moran and her husband Dennis of Piscataway. Cherished grandfather of nine grandchildren and great-grandfather of thirteen. Dearest brother of Angela Donaldson of Easton, PA, and the late Carmen, Angelo, Anthony and Michael D'Arminio. Lee is also survived by his sisters-in-law Florence and May D'Arminio, and brother in law Jack Ingoglia and sister in law Rose Ingoglia as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great nephews, and many other close relatives and friends. The Funeral will be on Tuesday, November 23, at 8:45 AM from the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis R.C. Church, 50 Lodi Street, Hackensack, at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Hackensack. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 5:00 – 8:00 PM and Monday from 4:00 – 8:00 PM.
