Obituary of Vincenza Tenebruso

VINCENZA DIPETRILLO TENEBRUSO , of Paramus, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home, on Saturday, March 2, 2013, at the age of 78 years, after a miraculous 11 year battle with cancer. Born in Roccamonfina, Italy, she came to this country in 1954 settling in Hackensack and has lived in Paramus for 42 years. Prior to retiring, she worked at Data Scope of Paramus, but her true passion was her years caring for children in her home. She was a member of the Socialites of St. Francis Church of Hackensack and was a parishioner of Our Lady of Visitation Church of Paramus. Beloved wife for 52 years of Rocco Tenebruso. Devoted mother of Geraldine Scalia and her husband James of Lodi, and Teresa Bumbaco and her husband Scott of Bergenfield. Cherished grandmother of Anthony, Brandon, Jim, and Scott. Dearest sister of Carmela Zisa and her husband Joseph of Saddle Brook, Josephine Sallemi and her husband Ross of South Hackensack, Lena Cline and her husband Donald of Lakewood, FL. and Ginny Florio and her husband John of Middle Village, NY. Loving sister in law of Carmela Annarumma and her husband Joe of Paramus and Susan Tenebruso of Emerson and her husband the late Vito. We will all miss her strength, courage, undying faith, and the ability to always defy the odds. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 7th, at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Visitation R. C. Church, 234 Farview Avenue, Paramus with burial following at St. Mary's Cemetery in Saddle Brook. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 7-9 PM and Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
