Obituary of Sylvio M. Del Vecchio

Sylvio M. Del Vecchio. A lifelong resident of South Hackensack, passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at the age of 63. Sylvio worked as a roofer for South Hackensack Roofing for many years, he also enjoyed hunting, fishing, taxidermy and cycling, he was a true outdoorsman. He was also a parishioner of Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, Hackensack. Loving father of Patricia H. Del Vecchio. Cherished grandfather of Michael and Harper. Devoted son of Joan Del Vecchio (nee Pecorella) and the late Eugene Del Vecchio. Dearest brother of Tom Del Vecchio, Rich Del Vecchio and his wife Judy, Joseph Del Vecchio and his wife Janice, Amy Kaminski - Del Vecchio, Joni Occhipinti and her husband John and the late Eugene Del Vecchio. Sylvio also leaves behind his sister-in-law Linda Del Vecchio and his adoring nieces and nephews Shannon, Jon, Giorgio, Jason, Giovanni, Gena, Cara and Gianna. The Funeral will begin on Monday March 14, 2022, at 8:00 AM from the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack, NJ. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 49 Vreeland Avenue, Hackensack at 9:30 AM. Burial will follow at Hackensack Cemetery, Hackensack. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3:00 - 7:00 PM for visitation.
