It is with deep sympathy we send condolences to the family of Mike. I have many memories form the age of two years old into adlthood of Mike, my brother and me laughing together. I have fond memories of our trip in his single engine plane, and our road trip to see Roger in San Jose California. What fun we had !!!
You will be missed but, I will always have my memories. RIP old friend.

I was saddened to return from a three-week camping trip with spotty internet and learn of Mike's passing. He was a great and loyal friend, and much better than I at keeping up contacts, I'm sorry to say. We lived a few doors from each other growing up. My entire childhood through high school memories are intertwined with his friendship. We were in scouts together, bands together, and every grade of school together. Other friendships have come and gone, but Mike was like a treasure in a safe. Even when you don't see it, you know it's there. And when lost, you feel a piece of you has gone with it. I'll pray that all Mike's family and friends find our Lord's peace and healing.

Mike enjoying the camaraderie of his foxhole buddies at the 2005 C 2/7 1st Cavalry Division reunion in Winston, Georgia.
We first met Mike in 2005, at a unit reunion of Vietnam Veterans. Mike was outgoing, had a great sense of humor, a gregarious personality and a huge unbridled laugh. He was warm and friendly and always a fun guy to be around. I will miss his broad Cheshire Cat smile. We will all meet again some day under the shade of the oak tree on Fiddler’s Green.

So sad to hear about Mike’s passing. He will always be Butch to me and all of us crazies on Louis Street . I’m still sorry I backed into his car one night. Thank God my Dad paid to get it fixed. Mike thank you for your service and May you Rest In Peace. My sincere condolences to Diane and extended family ~ Laurie Armstrong

Our condolences to Mike's family; we knew him, and his father, Sal, when we were parishioners at St Anthony. We remember Mike especially at St. Joseph's Day when he would make his ricotta pie for St. Joseph's Table. Mike was special and we were privileged to know him. Pat and Oscar Hesse

Well Mike,
This is the end of our earthly journey together. After Vietnam I had searched for you and Lou for over 35 years. Then one day, I received an e-mail from you on my computer at work. We finally reunited at Bud Alley’s reunion in Franklin,Tn and subsequent reunions of C Company. Although you did not receive a Purple Heart in Vietnam, you will always be in my heart. I could go on and on, but you know that you were a special friend- as General Moore said in his book, we will always be a “Band of Brothers.” RIP my friend until we answer that big roll call in the sky. If you see Custer, tell him that he should have brought his gattling guns. Garry Owen my friend!

We remember most the times shared with Mike at St. Anthony's and the trips we made with him to all those computer shows. He loved and served his country well and we thank him for that. Fly high in heaven, Mike, and know that you will forever be in our prayers. Love Always to You and the Family.--John & Pat Kurzel--
