Obituary of Salvatore Minardi

Salvatore Minardi, of South Hackensack, passed away on Friday, May 19, 2023 at the age of 78 years. He was born in Gela, Sicily, Italy and came to the United States in 1963. Prior to retiring he owned and operated Sal's Visible Changes (Barber Shop) in Wayne, NJ for many years. He was a founding member of the Scoglitti Society in Elmwood Park, NJ and a parishioner of St. Francis R.C. Church, Hackensack. Beloved husband for 51 years to Marie M. (nee Sansevere). Loving father of Victoria Giuseppa Minardi and Anthony Salvatore Minardi and his wife Lauren. Cherished grandfather of Gianna Sophie Minardi. Dearest brother of Emanuela Tranchina, Nunzio Minardi, Luciano Minardi, Angelo Minardi and the late Giuseppa Minardi and Giovanni Minardi. Salvatore is also survived by several nieces and nephews. The Funeral will begin on Saturday, May 27, at 8:45 AM from the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, 10:00 AM at St. Francis R.C. Church, 50 Lodi Street, Hackensack, Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Hackensack. The family will receive friends on Friday, from 5:00 – 9:00 PM for visitation at the funeral home.
