I met Jessica in undergrad at Mville. We would often talk during lunch or dinner. Her confidence in the word of God was so strong for a young person. She was such a wonderful person. I thank you for being a positive memory in my life.

I met Jessica while she was completing her Master's degree. Jessica and I had a unique relationship. For a short time, she was like a little sister. Jessica was always up for a challenge and when I did or said anything she did not understand, she always took the time to figure out how to better understand my perspective. We lived together in NY while attending the same church. We shared so much back then. She met my family and I met hers. I remember driving with her to the mountains to meet her sweet parents. Unfortunately, we were disconnected over the past 15 years. I recently learned of her diagnosis and it quite literally changed my life. I was distraught! Regardless of the years apart I cared so much about my dear friend. I reached out to her and for a few hours we reconnected! I'm so grateful that God blessed me with an opportunity to communicate with her during such a time. I will forever cherish those moments. As I reminisce, I realize that her service is taking place right now. I dedicate these words to my friend Jessica. I dedicate a tree to be planted in her honor, to be a blessing to this earth as she was and continues to be. I want to express my deepest, sincerest condolences to Mr. and Mrs. Leichtweisz and to Ryan. Jessica was truly a rare gem in this world.

To Jessica's family,
I met Jessica 2 and a half years ago on a camping trip. Her and Lucky were so full of life. We camped at a Christian revival camp in Sedona. Together we saw the devils bridge and the seven sacred pools. She knew how to call me on my BS. She was SOOOO Bronx. I couldn't express just how much with her brassy attitude, and her love for everyone. She showed me where to get good NY pizza in Arizona, which is a tough thing to do. My daughter and I spent last Christmas with her, and such a very merry group of people. Jessica was a people connector. She brought together people from all walks of life. We camped at Bartlett lake one night last summer and it was amazing. She was pretty afraid of a skunk nearby, but we both got that settled and then enjoyed the night. Such a professional. She recognized I had ADHD long before I told her. And I knew she was making a strong contribution to kids with autism feverishly working on completing computer-based trainings for other professionals. When I heard of her passing, I mourned the loss of a really GREAT friend. Someone I will greatly miss. She wasn't just a hiker girl, or a therapist, to me she was home and I will greatly love and miss her always.

Jessica helped my son and our family for a number of years. She took pride in what she did and was truly a wonderful person and therapist. She will be fondly remembered. Sharing a very happy memory with my boy, Aary who is now 18 years old. This picture was taken in 2013. We will forever grateful for her life’s work and partnership.
I am deeply saddened by this tragic loss. May the family find peace in this difficult time.
