Obituary of Charles F. Jones

Charles F. Jones, of Hackensack (born in Philadelphia) passed away peacefully on Monday November 27, 2023 at the age of 99. He worked for many years at Curtis Wright in Woodridge and then joined the Hackensack Auxiliary Police Force in 1968, promoted to Sergeant in 1984 and then to Lieutenant in 1993. Beloved husband of 63 years to the late Marie (nee Marino). Devoted father to Charles Jones, Philip Jones, Paula Baker and husband John Moroney of New Milford. Cherished grandfather to Cheryl, Justin, Jennifer, Dana, and Melissa. Adored great grandfather to Rylie, Savannah, Hektor, Skylar, Aubree, and Annelise. Dearest brother to the late Margaret Heinzelman. The Funeral Service will begin on Friday, December 1, at 10 AM at the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Hackensack. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4:00 – 8:00 PM for visitation.
