Mr. Perry was a stand in father to SO many of the weirdos musician kids that I can't even put into words what he meant to so many, what he meant to me. Because of him I have videos that I can show *my* children what I looked like 30 years ago and that was *no* easy feat back in the late 80s/90s. Today someone can hold up a phone but he had to lug in multiple cameras and tripods to all these grungy little dive bars without being paid to do it, without a worry for his equipment, all because of what the music - or really what support he could show to the children around him -- sometimes the kids that other parents might mark as 'trouble' he would always show support, respect and more importantly -- love and kind words. He came to more shows of mine than my own parents came to. I can't even imagine myself doing so much for someone else. I can't express enough what he did for me through his kindness, and how wide his love extended through all the people he interacted, and how things he did 30 years ago -- well, again, it allows *my* children to see their old dad in a completely different way and given them something to remember me by once I'm gone. Thank you Mr. Perry, you meant the world to me.
