Obituary of Gertrude L. Witkowski

Gertrude "Trudy" L. Witkowski (nee Okuniewski), of Hackensack, died on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at the age of 94 years. She was a lifelong resident of Hackensack. She was a parishioner of the Church of the Immaculate Conception of Hackensack. Beloved wife for 54 years to the late Raymond J. Witkowski (2008). Devoted mother of Raymond J. Witkowski Jr. and his wife Maria of Saddle Brook, Brian Witkowski of Hackensack, Stan Witkowski of Hackensack, Teri Deaver of Branchville and Joyce Catogge of West Milford, and the late Lenny Witkowski and Bruce Witkowski. Loving grandmother of Michael, Kevin, Laura, Dawn, Dennis, Amanda, Brian, Madeline, Bruce and Jordan. Cherished great grandmother of Jeremy, Madison, Tyler, Kayla, Nathan, Shelby and several great-grandchildren. A prayer service will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 11:00 AM at the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack, with burial, following at Maple Grove Park Cemetery, Hackensack. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4:00 – 8:00 PM for visitation at the funeral home.
