Obituary of Helen J. Anzevino
Helen Anzevino-(Dardia), Peacefully departed on February 26th after a brief illness at the age of 96. Helen was married to Gennaro Anzevino who passed away in 1987. She is survived by her son Thomas and his wife Debbie, daughter Elaine and her husband Victor and son James and his wife Janice. Helen is also survived by grandchildren, Steven, Tamara, Eric, Lisa and her husband Jeff, Elizabeth and her husband Steven and Gennaro and her great grandson Logan and sister Jane. Helen was born in Paterson and was pre-deceased by her parents, Elfrieda and Henry Dardia, also by her siblings Art, Eleanor and her grandson Aaron. She was a graduate of Eastside High School in Paterson and worked at Meyer's Bakery. She had a love for music, travel, the Jersey shore, and had a love for movies and comedy television. She was a lover of her pets, cake and ice cream as well as family vacations at their house in Montague. Helen was involved in her town as a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fire Department and Ambulance Corp. She was a Den Mother and a Member of the Democratic Club. She was also a parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church. The Funeral will begin from the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack, on Saturday, March 2, at 8:45 AM. The Mass of Requiem will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Episcopal Church, 72 Lodi Street, Hackensack at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Hackensack. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4:00 – 8:00 PM for visitation at the funeral home.
