Obituary of Delia T. Legaspi

Delia Togonon Legaspi, a loving mother and friend to all, passed away on March 26, 2024. Born to Jose and Anacorita on October 18, 1945. Delia's journey began in Dumangas, Iloilo, where she grew up with her siblings, Zeny and Pending. Her childhood was filled with simple joys of provincial life, which laid the foundation for her nurturing spirit. She pursued her passion for helping people as a Registered Nurse for over 40 years. Delia was simple, kind, compassionate and always willing to help anyone in need. Delia fully embodied putting others first before herself, never wanting to worry or burden others with her problems. She is fondly remembered for her love of the Lord and joy for cooking and gardening. Her home in New Jersey "411 Simons Ave." became home to many friends and family. Delia's memory is honored by her loving family: Mario Jr., Doris, Aviel and Mia; Lisa Marie and Harold; and Maridel. Services to celebrate Delia's life will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2024 from 4:00 - 8:00pm for visitation at the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack, NJ. The Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, 50 Lodi Street, Hackensack on Friday, April 5, 2024 at 10:00am. Rest in peace, dear Delia. Your light continues to shine, inspiring all who had the privilege of knowing you. Your legacy lives on in the countless lives you have helped with your kindness and love.
