Obituary of Michelangelo Marrella

Michelangelo "Angelo" Marrella, age 83, passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2024. Angelo was born on November 11, 1940, in Alia, Italy, to Domenica and Giuseppe Marrella. Angelo worked as a laborer for local 472 for 40 years in addition to being a volunteer firefighter for over 25 years. Angelo was the most loving son, brother, brother-in-law, husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Angelo is survived by his loving wife, Maria, whom he has been married to for 59 years, his wonderful children, Domenica, Vincenza (R.J.), Joseph (Kelly), and his four angel grandchildren, Jake, Joseph, Madison, and Karly. Angelo is survived by his two sisters, Rose and Gina (Carlo). Angelo was pre-deceased by his brother-in-law, Lucindo. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him. His seat will always be open at the Sunday table. Family, friends, and others who knew and loved Angelo are invited on Tuesday, April 30th, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm for visitation at the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack. The Funeral will begin on Wednesday May 1st at 8:45 am at the Funeral Home, the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 49 Vreeland Avenue, Hackensack at 10:00 am.
