Obituary of George C. Di Napoli

George C. Di Napoli went to be with The Lord on, Friday August 2nd, 2024, at the age of 77 years. George, the son of Angelina & Benjamin Di Napoli, resided in Hackensack, NJ. George was an outstanding Hackensack High School Pitcher who graduated in June 1966, he then enlisted in the United States Army, December 1966 and in 1967 he was deployed to Vietnam as a "Combat Medic Specialist" obtaining the rank of SP-4, after leaving the Army, George became an Optician a job performed until his retirement. After retirement George took a job as a crossing guard at Ridge Ranch School in Paramus, a job he thoroughly enjoyed due to his love for children. George leaves behind his brother Gaeton (Guy) Di Napoli and his wife Joanne, his brother Benjamin (Ben) Di Napoli Jr. and his wife Yolanda, his nieces & nephews: Gaeton Di Napoli Jr., Gina Marino, Cara Di Napoli, Lauren Di Napoli, Christopher Chiarella, Lisa Georgiou and Benjamin L. Di Napoli, and his great-nieces & great-nephew Elena, Natalie, Emily, Eva and Luca. The Funeral will begin on Thursday, August 8th 2024 at 9:45 AM from the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack, NJ 07601. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM at St. Francis R.C. Church, 50 Lodi Street, Hackensack. Cremation will be private. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 7th 2024 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM for visitation at the funeral home.
