Obituary of Appleton Kent Rossetter III
Appleton Kent Rossetter III, of Newburgh, NY, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2024, at the age of 75. Born on November 26, 1948, in Hackensack, New Jersey, Kent grew up surrounded by his loving family. He graduated from Hackensack High School in 1966, went on to earn his bachelor's degree from Lafayette College in 1970, and later completed an MBA from Cornell University through Baruch College in New York City. Kent had a fulfilling career in Human Resources Management, working at prominent organizations such as RCA and the New York Stock Exchange. He concluded his professional journey at Orange County Community College, where he was known for his dedication and contributions. A naturally inquisitive person, Kent was passionate about learning and loved engaging with people from all walks of life. He was always eager to share his knowledge and was quick to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Kent is predeceased by his parents, Nympha Nancy Rossetter (née Farinella) and Appleton Kent Rossetter Jr., as well as his beloved aunts. He is survived by his brothers Thomas Rossetter (Beth), and Stephen Rossetter (Lee), his sister Lynn Dickinson (Jim) and his step-brother Ron Rossetter (Breeze). He leaves behind his daughters Nancy Cronrath (Peter) and Susan Crim (Jeremy), as well as his cherished grandsons Michael and Brayden Cronrath, and Ben and Jon Crim. Kent is also fondly remembered by his many cousins as well as other nieces and nephews, including Kiley Rossetter, Michael, Ryan, and Christopher Rossetter. A private graveside service will be held at Hackensack Cemetery on Thursday, October 10, 2024.
