Madeline Lore

Obituary of Madeline R. Lore

Madeline R. Lore (nee Lobosco), of Rochelle Park, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at the age of 96 years. She passed away peacefully at Dellridge Health & Rehabilitation Center in Paramus. We are thankful for the caring and compassionate staff that cared for her at the end of her life. Born in Kearny, NJ, grew up in Jersey City and Hackensack, and resided in Rochelle Park for the last 60 years where she raised her family. Madeline worked at Hackensack News as a Comptometer Operator in her younger years. She later became a homemaker and a devoted stay at home Mother and Brownie leader for Patricia. Madeline was a member of the St. Francis Socialites in Hackensack and pre-covid, part of the Rochelle Park Seniors Club. She enjoyed social events and participated in trips planned. She was a parishioner of Church of the Sacred Heart, Rochelle Park. Madeline shared 49 wonderful years with her beloved husband Patrick T. Lore, who preceded her in death in 1998. Loving mother of Patricia and her husband Mark Romano, proud grandma of Michael Patrick Romano, Dearest sister of the late Joseph Lobosco and late wife Mildred, the late Salvatore Lobosco and late wife Dorothy. Also beloved Aunt to Karen and Karl Lobosco, Christopher Milin and his family, Tony Lobosco, Laurie Spacek and family and Dear to the heart sister-in-law Sandy De Marco, Josie Lore and nieces and nephews in Syracuse, NY. She loved her son-in-law Mark's family like her own. Madeline lived life to the fullest (anyone who knew her could tell you). She enjoyed traveling around the world, especially with her daughter Patricia, the Jersey Shore Lavallette vacations with her family, bowling, ceramics, A.C. trips and cooking. We all loved her famous pot roast and gravy. Madeline was a lover of shopping, classic movies, big band music, and dancing. She loved entertaining family and friends with her dinner parties and many holiday celebrations. She was the life of the party! Madeline loved Broadway shows, eating in fine restaurants, and of course indulging in her favorite cocktail a Martini. Madeline was blessed with life long friends and family who filled her days with adventure, laughter, and love. She cherished family time together and the love of her family was always first and foremost in her life. Her grandson was her pride and joy. We were so lucky she was able to celebrate so many milestones with us especially her wish to live to see Michael graduate college. Even through all her pain, she always had a smile on her face. Truly an amazing woman, mom, and grandma. She will be deeply missed and always remembered. The funeral will begin on Wednesday, October 9, at 8:45 AM from the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Church of the Sacred Heart, 12 Terrace Avenue, Rochelle Park at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at George Washington Memorial Park Cemetery, Paramus. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4:00 – 8:00 PM for visitation at the funeral home.
