Obituary of Viola Trobiano Rizzi

VIOLA TROBIANO RIZZI (Yola), 89 of Elmwood Park, passed away at her home on July 13th surrounded by her family. She was born and raised in Hackensack before marrying and moving to Elmwood Park where she raised her family. Yola was born in Hackensack on July 28, 1922. Yola was married to Peter Rizzi on Nov 12th, 1944. They were married 67 years. Yola was a loving wife and homemaker who enjoyed cooking, bingo, playing games with her grandchildren, practical jokes and family gatherings. She leaves to cherish her memories three children; Peter and wife Bonnie of Toms River, James and fiancée Dawn of Lodi, John and wife Carol of Millington; 6 grandchildren; Fara Daniels, Jaclyn Rizzi, Lauren Rizzi, Janine Rizzi, Jenna Rizzi and JC Rizzi and great granddaughter, Brianna Daniels. She will also be loved and missed by her twin sister Peggy’s two girls, Nancy Rodgers and Dee Fontanella, who were like daughters. Yola is survived by her husband Pete and her brother, Thomas Trobiano of Paramus. She was one of 11 siblings; Mike Trobiano, Frank Trobiano, Jeanette Capsouras, Mildred McAulifffe, John Trobiano, Fred Trobiano, Henry Trobiano, Helen Gulino, James Trobiano and Peggy Fontanella, who are deceased. Yola was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a wonderful homemaker, who doted on all of her loved ones. She will be missed dearly. The Funeral on Wednesday July 18, 2012 at 8:45 AM at the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack, NJ 07601. The Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 AM at St. Francis R.C. Church, 50 Lodi Street, Hackensack. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park Cemetery, Paramus. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 PM.
