Obituary of Pietro Competiello

PIETRO COMPETIELLO, of South Hackensack, formerly of Ozone Park, Queens, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 28, 2013, at the age of 87. Prior to retiring he worked for American Vault Company as a manufacture. He was a member of Teamsters Local #1034 and a parishioner of Church of the Immaculate Conception in Hackensack and a former parishioner of St. Mary Gate of Heaven Church in Queens. Beloved husband of Maria L. (nee Competiello). Loving father of Filomena E. Barricella and her husband Carmine of So. Hackensack, Cherished grandfather of Anthony Peter Barricella and his wife Katie of So. Hackensack and Lisa Maria Barricella of Paramus, great grandfather of Madison, Abigail, Anthony and Nicholas. Dearest brother of Michele Competiello and his wife Rosina, Emilio Competiello and his wife Incoronata, Madalena Competiello and the late Carmine and Vittorio Competiello. Pietro is also survived by several nieces and nephews. The Funeral on Monday March 4, at 8:45 AM from the funeral home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 49 Vreeland Avenue, Hackensack, at 10:00 AM. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Hackensack. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, PO BOX 1000 Dept 142, Memphis, TN 38101 would be appreciated.
