Obituary of John Dalessio

JOHN DALESSIO, of South Hackensack passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 23, 2014, at the age of 95 years. Prior to retiring, he was a sheet metal mechanic. He proudly served his country during World War II in the Army Air Corps. John was a member of the South Hackensack VFW Post # 8005 and a member and Past President of the South Hackensack Senior Citizens Club. He was a parishioner of the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Hackensack. Beloved husband of Elizabeth (nee Peccoralo) for 68 years, Devoted father of Diane Marko. Cherished grandfather of Jacqueline and Bonnie. Dearest brother of Dominick Dalessio and his wife Joan, Frances Trause and her husband the late Andy, Rose Amore, the late Jerry Dalessio and his wife Bebe, and the late Virginia D’Alessio. The Funeral on Wednesday August 27, at 8:45 AM from the funeral home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 49 Vreeland Avenue, Hackensack, at 10:00 AM. with entombment following at Hackensack Cemetery, Hackensack. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 P.M.
