Obituary of Salvatore Di Stasi
SALVATORE "SAMMY" DI STASI, on Thursday,
February 27, 2014 of Long Valley (formerly of
Hackensack), passed away peacefully, surrounded
by his loving family, at the age of 81 years. Prior to retiring, he was a Firefighter and Inspector for the City of
Hackensack for 30 years. He proudly served his country
during the Korean War in the United States Marine Corp., obtaining the rank of Sergeant, and being the recipient
of an Honorable Discharge. He was a member of the Hackensack Troast A. C. and the I. A. F. F. #2081. He was a former parishioner of St. Francis R. C. Church. Beloved husband for 60 years of Josephine J. (nee Briscolina). Devoted father of Joann Zisa and her husband Dean of Long Valley and Charles Di Stasi and his wife MaryAnn of Blairstown. Loving grandfather of Eric, Kyle, Josh, Corissa, Jake and Jenna. Dearest brother of John Di Stasi of Toms River and the late Lawrence, Eugene and Abele Di Stasi. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis R. C. Church, 50 Lodi Street, Hackensack, at 11:00 AM with burial following at Maple Grove Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM.
