Obituary of Saverio Ferrara

SAVERIO FERRARA, of Hackensack, died on Saturday, January 15, 2011, at the age of 93 years. Born in Sicily, Italy, he came to this country in 1950 and settled in Hackensack. Prior to retiring, he worked for more than thirty years for Laborer's International Union of North America Local 592 of Hackensack. He was a parishioner of St. Francis R. C. Church of Hackensack where he was a member of the Padre Pio Society and the Regina Pacis. Beloved husband for 65 years of Lucia Bordonaro Ferrara. Devoted father o of Maddalena "Lee" Ferrara of Hackensack, and Salvatore Ferrara and his wife Jane of Hackensack. Cherished grandfather of Elisa and Danielle. Dearest brother of the late Carmela Mancuso, Gaetana Consiglio, Francesco Ferrara and Giuseppe Ferrara. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 20th, at 11:00 AM at St. Francis R. C. Church, 50 Lodi Street, Hackensack with burial following at Maple Grove Park Cemetery in Hackensack. Visiting will be on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7 - 9 PM. Memorial donations to St. Francis R. C.
