Obituary of Obed Paul Fountoukis

OBED PAUL FOUNTOUKIS "Sparky", of Moonachie, NJ, died Friday, October 21, 2011, of cancer. He was just 45 years old. His greatest joy was his 3-year-old son, Alex. Obed graduated in 1984 from Bergen Tech High School in Hackensack, NJ. Obed was the retired Deputy Chief of the Hackensack VAC in Hackensack, NJ. He was a EMS instructor at Chilton Hospital. He was preceded in death by his mother, Joan Battels Fountoukis; his sister, Sophia Koukountzis; maternal grandparents, Ray and Rosemary Battels and paternal grandparents, Antonio and Theodora Fountoukis. He leaves to cherish his memory his son, Alexander Charles Fountoukis and his fiancée, Christina Cosgrove, of the home. Also his father Paul Antonio Fountoukis, and stepmother, Maria Fountoukis of Kentucky; his sister Phoebe Fountoukis Mroczkowski along with her husband, Tim, of Asheboro; Niece Anna Maria Fountoukis of New York City; nieces, Brittany and Meghan Mroczkowski of Asheboro; nephews, Zachary, Bryan and Dylan Mroczkowski of Asheboro.
