Obituary of Adele M. Gleason

ADELE M. GLEASON, (nee Klug-Osborn) of Elmwood Park, formerly of Hackensack passed away peacefully at her home, on Thursday, May 22, 2014, at the age of 91 years. Prior to retiring 1996, Adele worked for the City of Hackensack as a Deputy Court Clerk, in the Violations Department for 30 years. As a young girl, Adele modeled for Packard Bamberger’s in Hackensack. Newly married and during World War II, Adele worked for the Department of Benefits in Newark, later for the Humane Society in Maywood, she was also a volunteer at Kessler Rehab in Saddle Brook for over 16 years and a parishioner of St. Anne R.C. Church, Fair Lawn. Beloved wife of the late James G. Gleason (1980). Loving mother of Maureen A. Blei and her husband Paul of Elmwood Park, Kevin G. Gleason and his wife Patty of Wantage and the late James B. Gleason (1992) and his wife Kathy of Mt. Arlington. Cherished grandmother of six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Dearest sister of James Osborn and his partner Thelma Marshall of Butler and the late Muriel Demarest and Eugene “Bud” Osborn. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. The funeral on Tuesday May 27, at 8:45 AM from the funeral home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anne R.C. Church, 15-05 Saint Anne Street, Fair Lawn, at 10:00 AM with burial following at George Washington Memorial Park Cemetery, Paramus. The family will receive friends on Monday from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 PM for visitation. The family prefers that in lieu of flowers, you honor her memory with a donation to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital, PO BOX 1000 Dept 142, Memphis, TN 38101.
