Obituary of Salvatore La Bosco

SALVATORE "SONNY" LA BOSCO Jr., of Hackensack, passed away peacefully on Sunday April 14, 2013 at the age of 89. Born in Harrison, NJ. Prior to retiring he worked for U.F.C.W. local #342 as a Tanner in Jersey City. Sonny was also a Marine Veteran of World War II, he enlisted in the Marine Corps in May of 1943 and served until he was wounded in Saipan and discharged in February of 1946. He was a parishioner of Holy Trinity R.C. Church, Hackensack. Beloved husband of Dorothy B. (nee Macknowski) for 70 years. Loving father of Karl D. La Bosco and his wife Jeanette of Florida and Karen La Bosco of Hackensack. Cherished grandfather of Anthony and his wife Sonja La Bosco and Christopher Milin and great grandfather of Alex and Nicole. Dearest brother of Madeline Lore of Rochelle Park and the late Joseph La Bosco. The Funeral on Friday April 19, at 8:45 AM from the funeral home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM at Holy Trinity R.C. Church, 34 Maple Ave, Hackensack. Burial to follow at George Washington Memorial Park Cemetery, Paramus. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 PM. PM.
